Clearstream Banking1 informs clients that effective
1 May 2024
only W-8EXP forms issued in October 2023 can be accepted by Clearstream Banking.
This is due to an update of the W-8EXP form and instructions by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in October 2023. Clearstream Banking will no longer be able to accept any outdated versions of this form as of the effective date. As a consequence, any forms issued prior to October 2023 and received on or after 1 May 2024 will be rejected.
